Don't Follow.. LEAD

At couple of instances I have heard people giving advice do what you love. Find your passion and make that your career. But is it worth that thought. 
Ask yourself few questions instead, before you start following the advice or trend. Questions to consider:
- Why should I focus on passion? Am I not happy with my career?
When you choose any career it was something that had created a spark in you. If you are giving that career a rethought this question will help you answer that you have lost that spark. 
 - What is significance of work currently I am doing in my life?
To get the further detail of the previous question, you will have to find out. Why are you doing what you are doing? If the answer is only monetary benefit, then start exploring your passion. But if your answer beyond money then you are the one who has to give the due importance to your work.
 - What do I want to be good at?
Once you know the significance of work in your life, analyse what you want to pursue. Again don't follow the trend e.g. as a lady I should be doing something homely so want to be good at Child Development. Is child development your area of interest do you want to be good in that. Or you want to be good in Financial Management or Business Management.
 - What opportunity excites me?
Now that you know what you want to be good at dive into the subject and get yourself the pearl of wisdom. The wisdom which gives you self-satisfaction and motivates you to pull you out of your comfort zone. 
 - What am I willing to give up?
Knowing what you want do is important, but it is useless until you don't know how to do it. So start chalking a road map that will lead you to your goal and to get something you have to give something. So ask yourself what is that you will be okay to let go. You cannot keep the cake and have it too. 
And mind you it is not questions for only set or settling careers but for even people who want to start their career. We always wonder; the models that walk the ramp half of the designs are not workable why they make it, who shops them. But it is not about selling it is about displaying the creativity. 
So it is not necessary that you follow the passion than only you will be able to sell yourself. To achieve satisfaction you have create yourself and not follow the trend. Success is for those who know how to achieve it and not for those who try to imitate it.

Spirituality for the Soul

Quite often, spirituality term is aligned to be a synonym of religion or ritual. It is a need today that we understand spirituality is for our soul and not for any societal belief. Religion and tradition are the drawn rules & systems by the society or community to practice spirituality. Our ancestors knew well that metaphors work better than preachings. Bonding or Binding

Relationships should be bonding not bidding. I recently came across a statement that said that a relationship is a constant effort of commitment, communication and compromise . Which is the reality if you fail to balance all the three the relationship becomes bidding. We all go through our own ups and downs in the journey of life and as the saying goes, enjoying the journey is more important than the destination . But how many of us actually enjoy it? Take a pause and restart enjoying it. During the counselling and coaching sessions, I come across the majority of concerns that are reloving around perception and lifestyle . We have made our lifestyle so materialistic that happiness or wow moments are connected to the accumulation rather than the feelings . The measurement has become more important.
